Me, the drama king?

My human Z is no good…

Last Saturday was supposedly a happy day for me because she is finally at home for at least half a day. She played fetch and fed me treats and I got to snooze next to her while she worked in the living room.  Then after dinner and my walk, I was just lying next to her when I felt a PRICK on my backside! I scurried and turned around to my horror.. she was holding that damned syringe! She didn’t get to inject all of my shots, only 0.5mL out of 1.0mL. She got mummy and pa pa to distract and coax me with my heartworm tablet while she tries to “jab me behind my back”. I couldn’t resist the yummy heartworm but I was wary of my human. I started whining, yelping and jumping to keep her and the needle away. She complained I am a drama king because she didn’t even get to prick me when I screamed. Mummy got worried and wanted her to stop the jab but she was insistent and the whole drama with 3 humans and a dog ended only after 30 minutes.

She didn’t get the shot done. Hee hee hee

4 hours later, I thought she finally gave up and my ordeal was over. Mummy was asleep, Pa pa went to pick another of my human B and I began snoozing somewhere away from my mean human Z. I shouldn’t be sleeping with my back towards her because as soon as she saw I was deep asleep, she grabbed the syringe and pricked me again!!!  I jumped out, horrified and terribly awaken from my slumber and ran to mummy’s room for help. I came out after a while because mummy was asleep and I was afraid of the dark. Z kept walking behind me, telling me that pricking me with that thing was for my own good and she kept pinching my backside! I walked away and she followed closely after and before I realized what she did, she had already completed the shot! She pulled the needle out, messaged my backside and was squealing with delight. She kept cuddling me and telling me how happy she was when the ordeal was over. Yeah, tell me about it..

I don’t understand humans at all!! I mean, if you don’t like to do this too, then just don’t EVER jab me or chase me around with a needle again!!

Lung power

Ma noticed something over the weekend hash. Using the lovely Jack as an example, this is a typical response you get when you call your dog…

Owner: “Jack, come here…”

Jack immediately comes over with tails wagging.

My humans: “Ben, come here… Ben!  Ben ben, COME…” 10 seconds later (with no food/treats in hand) “OOI, Ben, COME here lah.. Oooi.. where are you going?!? OOOII come back!! BEN!!!!”

My humans will have to use a lot of lung power to call for me.
