The song of love

This song made my human cry.

I am grateful there are still humans out there whose hearts are big enough for the abandoned and strays. I am lucky I got a silly human family to love and if only more of the homeless animals out there will be that lucky too. 

With the recent bad publicity on dogs, it will be harder for some humans to get to know and love us. We are a bunch of loving creatures and our needs are really simple. Like humans, we are social animals and we just want to a place to play with our humans and other dog friends. We hardly see our humans on weekdays, surely we deserve to spend some quality time with them on weekends?!? Cut us some slack, I promise to be a good boy when I go out and I will resist all butts and skirts ok?

It has been a long long time. Just to share what we have to do every 21 days for my immunotherapy. I am doing good so far, no more bald patches and everyone loves to pet me as long as I don’t sniff their butts and lift their skirts..  Of course behind every pretty fur coat lies a story. For me, it is one that is full of drama, tears and tricks.  

Day X  dose: 1mL  Remarks: chased him around the house for 30 minutes.

Day (X+21) dose: 1mL  Remarks: Put Ben on high chair and injected vaccine from his backside. Ben stared and whined at me.

Day (X+42) dose: 1mL Remarks: High chair MO failed. Used food to distract. Drama took 1 hour and many jabs to finish the dose.

Day (X+63) dose: 1mL Remarks: Took Ben out for run to tire him out. Gave him the vaccine when he was deep asleep. Done in less than 30 seconds.

Day (X+84) dose: 1mL Remarks: Previous method failed. Put Ben on table, put 2 persons to hold and distract him and 1 person to do the job. Done in 5 minutes!

Day (X+106) dose: 1mL Remarks: Table method not as successful. 1 hour drama and lots of whining and crying even before the needle pierced his skin.

Day (X+127) dose: 1mL Remarks: Need new strategy and distraction..
